Neighborhood Advocacy

For this project, we spearheaded the community initiative to address issues with Grand Cathedral Cigars (GCC) in Tampa Heights. We conducted thorough research, uncovering violations and non-compliance with city codes, and compiled all relevant information on a dedicated website. We organized community meetings, coordinated with residents, and prepared for the City Council hearing on January 25. Additionally, we created flyers, managed communications, and facilitated the collection of support letters to ensure our voices are heard and to advocate for positive change. As a result, their license was suspended for 7 days.
